Week 4 – Janitor Closet
This week I challenged Matt to pick one of the characters he designed from a previous week, and design an interior space where that character might live… or in my case, where the character is stored!
This took me way too long. I haven’t done much environment work, never mind interior spaces, so I picked a pretty easy perspective and room shape—and then over-compensated by adding a gagillion details…
I’m pretty happy with the result though!

Challenge accepted! Like Matt I fell back on some favourite subject matter and couldn’t resist doing a steam-punky Robo-Janitor. Oh and there’s a POGs poster because it’s the early 90s.

Week 2 — Alien Freedom Fighter
Why are technologically advanced aliens always invading earth? Why not the other way around?
This is an alien freedom fighter from another world that’s been taken over by colonialistic Earthlings! Their technology is pseudo-medieval, so instead of guns they’re fighting us with mini-crossbows and cosmic swords. Can they ever hope to rescue their planet from the Earthling occupation?

Graded Sheridan Portfolio
I found out a little while ago that I got into the Sheridan illustration program! Something that really helped me to assure my work was of high enough quality was looking at other successful applicant’s submissions, so to return the favour to the universe, and help out future applicants, here’s my graded portfolio, mark sheet included! Here’s my entry for challenge number 1! It’s an earth-worm-mole thing! It serves as some earth-themed super-hero’s trusty companion/steed/pet, burrowing under the ground and attacking Earth-guy-dude’s foes with its massive mole-claws! It sees with the star on its face, and its midsection is used as a saddle, its hair as reigns, and it has a stirrup inserted into it Dune-style. Walk without rhythm, you won’t disturb the worm-mole!
I guess it’s also suppose to be for a card game? I could have put it on a magic-card, but I didn’t feel like it. :p
