Didn’t quite manage to snap a good shot of the finished painting before they put it in the display case at school, so there’s a few little reflections from the glass in front of it here, but here’s a still-life I did for painting class. This was my first semester really working with water colours, and this project was kind of the culmination of that for the semester.

Vectory self-portrait thing! It’s based on that sketch from my other self-portrait post. :pI’m toying around with the idea of opening up for commissions on more of these. Would anyone be interested in one of yourself?

Illustrations for a school project where we had to make visual metaphors about a Brothers Grimm fairytale. I chose “The White Snake”. The moral of the story was “One good turn deserves another”, but there were also elements of “knowledge is power”.

I made an involuntary sculpture with sticky-tac the other day that inspired me to do a bit of a riff off of Sean Caulfield of it in my sketchbook.

Haven’t been doing a lot of super finished kinda illustration projects recently, a lot of more exercise kinda things and not-even-drawing-at-all kinda assignments but I should be getting a couple things back from profs soon that I can post. In the meantime, have some naked people! :D
Top one’s acrylic, bottom is watercolour.

ironcladfolly replied to your photoset “A ~2.5hr figure painting from last semester in Acrylic. More to come,…”

Fucking love this. As straightforward and “academic” as it may be, I feel like this is some of the strongest, most passionate work you’ve done recently.

Thanks so much man! I’ve always been partial to figure painting, and I guess it shows? :)

A ~2.5hr figure painting from last semester in Acrylic. More to come, we start painting the figure again next Monday, but in watercolour! :)
